He was a man, a brilliant satirist, lived in England between 1903 and 1990. 01:47 And he saw the demise of the West even while he was alive at that time. For better or for worse, I mean, you could worship a rock for all I care. 13:12 There are cultures who have worshiped rocks. I keep one of these clay rocks or clay figures on my desk because I'm also a student of so-called primitive cultures, which have remarkable things to offer the world in so many ways. 13:27 Here is a piece that I've had for years, decades as a matter of fact. Because basically this war with Iran is a religious war. 15:52 We don't know it. They know it. From their point of view, it's a religious war. From our point of view, it's not. It's something else. Territorial war, oil war. 16:03 But to them, it's a religious war. 16:05 They're stuck in the 7th century. 16:08 They still believe that there's a single book which is sufficient for the entire world called the Quran. 16:15 That's something the Arabs believed in shortly after Muhammad appeared on the earth when they conquered so much of the planet and submitted people to their religion. 16:27 They believed in the single sufficiency of the Quran. 16:31 But eventually, even after the eighth century, The Arabs gave up the idea that their religion was the only religion. 16:40 And they cooperated with other cultures. And now we now find ourselves back in the seventh century with the throwbacks in Iran who were literally practicing a seventh century form of Islam, whether you know it or not. 16:56 So what do we do now that we see we have two things colliding at the same time, earth and upheaval, worlds in collision? 17:05 Two worlds in collision. If I could, I would go get Spengler's Decline of the West, or I would invite you to go on to my archives, my podcast archives, which is a library unto itself where I discussed Spengler, the death of the West, what he predicted is coming true. He did not know that it would be partly through a Muslim invasion where we would invite in those who would destroy us from within. Trojan horse of religion, Trojan horse of liberalism, Trojan horse of tolerance, Trojan horse of compassion, Trojan horse of being good and nice. 24:01 I want to be nice. I want to be good. You're prophetic in your books. 25:58 And he said, What do you predict for the future, Michael? 26:05 I don't have a crystal ball. I'm not Nostradamus. 26:09 I can't predict with any degree of certainty what is coming. 26:13 But I can say that we are close to being extinct. 26:18 Western civilization is close to being extinct. And I look at the great music, like Mendelssohn, for example. 26:25 The great art that the average man may understand, Da Vinci, Rembrandt. 26:31 And I realize that these incredible works of mankind would be destroyed by the hordes of Muslim invaders who are living in the seventh century. Look at what they did, for example. when they invaded the territories of Iraq. Look what ISIS did. They destroyed 12th century Buddhist temples saying they thought they were idolatry. 26:58 They destroyed statues. 27:02 They destroyed temples. 27:04 That is what they do. They're destroyers, not creators of civilizations. 27:08 And yet we have people in this country inviting this destruction into this nation, celebrating it. 27:16 We have lawyers, armies of lawyers defending this from the ACLU. You hear this? 27:25 How crazy this world has become. And at the same time, we have a Muslim communist running New York City. You want to take a double dose of poison, Islamism and communism in one bundle with a smirking boy created by the mother in Hollywood with the girls cheering him on? The girls who were raised on Ritalin and then other drugs. They don't even know who they are, what they are. They don't understand what they're doing. 27:52 Digging their own grave. 28:01 So I turn to the ancient religion of my people. 28:08 The five books of Moses, the Torah. Do I believe every word literally? Absolutely not. 28:14 A lot of the Bible, as I have told you, and as all educated people know, or mythological, poetry, essays, they were the talk show hosts of their time. The prophets of the Old Testament, Ezekiel, Isaiah, many of them would have been great talk show hosts, but there were no microphones yet. 28:35 And they wandered around telling everyone how bad everything was. This is no good. That's no good. The world shall come to an end. 28:42 You'll be destroyed. People listened to it as entertaining. 28:48 But it was codified into a series of books and then eventually became the Old Testament and eventually became the religion and then eventually other religions built their religious beliefs around that religion. 29:03 And here we are. 29:04 There are other religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and others, smaller religions you never heard of. This is something I learned in all my years as an ethnobotanist traveling. 30:03 in some of remotest islands in the world and the deep reaches of the South Pacific collecting medicinal plants. 30:09 Fiji is just one of the areas you know me to have spent a lot of time in Tonga. But I've also spent time in islands you never heard of in the Marquesas, for example. Thank God they've not been destroyed by tourism. 30:21 Fascinating place. 30:24 People lived in those islands for 20,000 years before Europeans arrived. 30:31 And in those 20,000, 30,000 years, they learned how to survive living off the land, hostile environments. 30:42 And they developed their own way of navigating, for example, without compasses. 30:48 They navigated not only through the stars, but through the seas, the motion of the seas themselves. 30:54 I also collected some primitive masks and such from these islands along the way. I have a picture of something I really wanted to show you, but I don't have to run and get it. I can tell you what it is. In the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific, the Western Pacific, that is, these geniuses navigated these long stretches of open ocean without a compass. 31:16 And then they created their own map of where they were using wood and seashells. 31:24 Primitive people are not stupid people. 31:28 People who don't practice one of our monotheistic religions are not dumb people or lost people or hopeless people. 31:35 Many of them have a magnetic compass inside their body, inside their mind, through which not only can they navigate dark seas in the middle of the night, but they can navigate through the dark seas of life. 31:49 more intelligently than many of us can in this world. 31:53 Look at the dark seas that we find ourselves in today. 31:57 And what do we use to navigate these dark seas that we are in? 32:03 Alcohol, drugs, fake religions, total nonsense. And I was going to publish it under a weird name. But it was basically a juvenilia. But I thought I was going to publish them. I had an editor look at them. He said some of them are brilliant. There's a bunch of stories I wrote that I pulled out of the archives. I've not given them to the Bancroft Library as part of my collections. 32:52 But this editor in New York said, Michael, why don't you put them together as a book called Becoming Savage of the early stories of who you were then? I said, OK, maybe. So I gave it to him. Then I took them back and they're all in a file. I don't know whether I'm going to publish them. But the point is juvenilia. 33:07 That's the word. 33:09 Right now, the country is torn between the juveniles who are basically whacked out of their minds on drugs and the adults who are saying, why are you embracing a system that has killed millions of people called communism? How can you celebrate an economic system that's never worked anywhere it's been tried, ever? 33:32 Ever, it's never worked. 33:34 This whole idea of sharing everything with everyone in your village is something a five-year-old would believe in. 33:41 That's called communism. We'll all share equally. 33:45 Everyone will work equally. And we'll all have an ideal community. 33:49 It's never worked, can't work. That's something a child thinks of. When I was a kid, and I'd be taken to work in my father's car, over the bridges from Queens into Manhattan. Even though I was born in Manhattan, we live in the Bronx in Queens. We go over the bridges and a kid sits in the car and watches the world go by and he thinks and thinks and thinks, at least I did. I didn't play on a computer. I didn't have a little iPhone to sit and jiggle with. Instead, I looked at the windows of these apartment houses we went by. 34:19 First the houses, then the apartment houses. And I thought about what the, I said, God, look at the people inside those windows. What are they doing? 34:26 That's how my mind worked. 34:28 And then as a kid, a child, I would think, hmm, wouldn't it be nice if everyone shared everything? 34:36 Nobody would have to work too hard. This is a child's thought. 34:42 This one would grow the fruits. That one would grow the vegetables. That one would bring in the meat. That one would bring in the this and the that. And we'd all share. That's the child's mind. It doesn't work that way. 34:53 And that is what Mamdami is selling everything. 34:58 the potheads in New York City that we're all gonna share equally. But in this book, Trickle Up Poverty, I see there's a little post-it for a man who is more dangerous than Bernie Sanders named Soros. 36:21 Him and his disgusting degenerate son, in my opinion, are responsible for the meltdown of the West as I see it. 36:29 Those two, well, the father, Soros, who made his money by betting against the English pound and almost busting out England. Then he did it against Malaysia. He's banned for entering Malaysia for what he did to their currency. Soros, the money trader, has been trying for decades. 36:44 to manipulate American politics to the advantage of the Marxists with whom he is in league, in my opinion. 36:51 I wrote this. It seems to me that Soros tried to rig the 2004 presidential election in favor of John Kerry. How? By pouring tens of millions of dollars into Kerry's campaign coffers and into building anti-capitalist, anti-democratic organizations such as MoveOn.org. 37:11 In spite of that massive investment, I wrote, Soros was unsuccessful. 37:16 Did he give up? Far from it. 37:19 During the next few years, the Managed Funds Association, MFA, you never heard of it? 37:26 Really, but I heard of it. I wrote about it in this book. 37:29 The Managed Funds Association, MFA, A group of hedge fund investors with whom Soros is affiliated lobbied SEC Chairman Cox to have the rules change. So they could engineer a rate on U.S. markets to trigger a financial crisis that they foresaw could turn the election in favor of their 08 candidate, Barack Hussein Obama. Another member of the MFA, the Mutual Managed Funds Association, is John Paulson, no relation to former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, one of the architects of the TARP bailout. 39:07 Paulson saw the value of his hedge fund firm rise exponentially in 07, thanks to the rule changes that the MFA lobbied for. 39:17 While he predicted the crash and the demise of Lehman Brothers and Wachovia, the real reasons he was able to realize huge profits from the financial meltdown were the rule changes that he took advantage of to line his pockets. Paulson, like Cox and Soros, is still plying his trade, in his case as a hedge fund trader. He's still enjoying the billions of dollars in profits he made personally from participating in the attack on the American economy.
