Virginia Giuffre was a survivor, activist, mother, and treasured family member to her brother Sky, and sister-in-law Amanda. One year ago, after years of tireless campaigning and activism for fellow survivors of sexual abuse, she died by suicide. Since her death, Sky and Amanda have continued her important work through SOAR, her non profit, and they join Jess to speak about their experience losing Virginia, their thoughts on Jeffrey Epstein's death and former Prince Andrew's arrest, and most importantly, what their wonderful sister was like.
To support Sky and Amanda's important work, you can find their Go Fund Me here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-virginia-giuffres
If this conversation has raised anything for you, you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, or call 1800 RESPECT, a domestic, family and sexual violence counselling service.
The alleged experiences and allegations being discussed in this interview are the personal accounts, opinions and recollections of my guests, based on their own understanding of events. They are not established facts about any individual.
In particular, references to Virginia Giuffre, her marriage, and her husband Robert involve highly sensitive and disputed matters.
In 2015 Robert Giuffre was charged with domestic violence offences and pleaded guilty in Colorado. He has also been charged with firearm and driving offences in Western Australia.
There are other allegations made in this conversation that Robert Giuffre has not been charged with, nor found guilty of, any offence relating to the allegations of abuse being described here. Any mention of such allegations should be understood as unproven claims, not findings of a court.
